The 19th-century detective uses a new piece of technology - a film camera - in a bid to catch the person suspected of three killings. The victims had each come into a little money, and when it transpires that several wallets containing an address and $10 have been dropped around the city, Murdoch deduces that the killer is punishing those who fail to return the money.
