Quick Summary
A performer at a music festival is killed and a priceless violin stolen
About This Program
Musicians compete for a prestigious award at the annual Thassingham Classical Music Festival - and Barnaby and Winter are called in when the winner is brutally murdered and his priceless violin is stolen. Suspicion rapidly falls on the maestro organising the festival (James Fleet), who had planned to debut his new composition at the event and has stirred up resentment by turning a community festival into a corporate one - while many suspect that the murder is the result of a curse. However, a drunken viola player (Simon Callow) turns out to have some dark secrets that may implicate him in the crime
Midsomer Murders broadcasts on ITV3 +1 at 10:10am, Friday, 12 December 2025. (Subtitles, repeat)
