Tonight on Solid Gold Murder, Robert Wagner returns as Max Hart, a former spy turned private eye, when his old bodybuilding friend Vince lands in New York with a plan to open a chain of health clubs. Unbeknownst to Vince, his entourage is smuggling a solid‑gold barbell into the country. A ruthless gang tracks the metal and makes two bold attempts to steal it. The first raid leaves Max badly hurt and a Scotland Yard inspector dead. Undeterred, the crooks try again, forcing Max and his wife Jennifer, played by Stefanie Powers, to race across the city. They chase clues from a gritty gym basement to a glittering Manhattan penthouse, confronting double‑crosses and a surprise ally.
