A glamorous stranger causes a stir

The rural idyll is somewhat disturbed by Ricky Tomlinson as new arrival Tony Murphy, the wheeler-dealing pub landlord who is in for the shock of his life. Back at Silverdale, the Brewer family struggle with the day-to-day business of the farm and the news of Frankie's pregnancy, but more disruption comes in the form of glamorous stranger Paula who, while spending the night at the B&B, reveals she is on the run from her violent ex-boyfriend.
